Documentation required for Legal Marriage

1. Valid Passport for each the Bride & Groom
2. Certified copy of Birth Certificate for each the Bride & Groom with Apostille document attached
3. Tourist ID Card for each the Bride & Groom (issued to foreign visitors at the airport)
4. Prenuptial Blood Test for each the Bride & Groom to be performed at the resort (screening for HIV, contagious diseases, and relevant blood group)
5. Four witnesses, each with Valid Passport and Tourist ID Card
6. Translation into Spanish of Birth Certificates and Divorce Decree(s), if applicable. Translation must be done at the resort for a fee of $300 pesos ($30 USD) per translated page.
7. Bride & Groom and all witnesses must arrive at the hotel 3 business days (Monday to Friday) before the ceremony date to go through all of the paperwork formalities and wedding ceremony details. Witnesses and Bride & Groom documentation must be given together the day of the first meeting with the wedding coordinator.
8. DIVORCE CASES: Certified copy of the divorce decree legalized with Apostille stamp or Apostille document attached.

CANADIAN COUPLES: The legalization of your documentation must be done at the Mexican Consulate. This is not the Apostille (USA), but a document they will affix to the certified copy with the seal/stamp of the Mexican consulate.

IMPORTANT: Original documents will be returned to you at the resort. Certified copies will not be given back by the legal offices.

As we cannot be held responsible for incorrect documentation, please ensure all necessary documents listed above are hand-carried with you.

** Reservations for wedding ceremony/date must be made at least one month in advance.
